PROS:
amazing style, everyone who comes over compliments how stylish and convenient it is
solid cooking, great cast iron top cooks well
surprisingly large surface area given the profile
stainless steel looks great
way better than getting one of those mini-canister "portable" grills
the propane tank is completely hidden
thermometer is a nice touch
I don't care what others say... the metal cover over the tank is easy to take on and off
CONS:
THE REGULATOR LEAKED UPON ARRIVAL fortunately, I know how to do a quick leak test with soapy water, found the problem, and bought a new regular at the local hardware store for fifteen dollars... still, no ideal
no shelf space I wish I had paid the extra one fifty for the stainless steel version that has a swing-out wooden shelf; instead, I ordered the 50 buck accessory shelf which doesn't really cut it; fortunately, I have a patio table next to it that I commandeer while grilling
MINOR NITS:
the grill lid has a "hook" to hang it on the handles, but only on the right side!
the grill lid handle still requires a glove to pull off

Based on the Williams Sonoma video of this grill I purchased it from Amazon to save tax and shipping. It arrived in a totally destroyed box presenting the problem of how to return it if damaged. Fortunately it was not damaged but it is problematic in that the control button often requires numerous tries to get the element lit. The access panel to the propane tank is exceedingly difficult to operate. Finally I was disappointed that the grill that I purchased though the same price as Williams Sonoma's does not come with the retractable wood tray. instead it is an option at $49 and does not retract for convenient storage. Moral of this experience.buy it from Williams Sonoma, get the retractable tray and have an easy option for return if you are not satisfied.
