I ordered two of these gaskets to replace the one on my Green Egg and gave one of them to a friend. We followed all instructions for gasket replacement and even allowed them to sit for 2 days before using the cooker. Before I got thru cooking, the gasket was already turning loose from the grill. The same thing happened with the one I gave to a friend. Needless to say, I went and got the real Green Egg gasket and all is well. Spend the extra money to get the Green Egg gasket, so that it's right the first time.

This thing incinerated on my first time using it. My Chargriller kamado had flare up while cooking some hamburgers. Had this not happened, it probably would be fine. Although now I'm going to try the Nomex gasket.

Glue doesn't stick very well. Came off only after a couple of weeks. The remaining sticky pulled the upper gasket off.

I used this product for my UDS smoker because I needed a good seal between the kettle grill lid and the drum. My smoker never gets above 350 degrees but for some reason the adhesive on this gasket does not want to hold on a few different spots. I think I will go the old school route and just buy a oven gasket and use high temp adhesive.
