This is a model 262 which does not apply to almost all Magma grills. The correct model is 263 that is applicable for all of the single burner models. The only differential is the "X" in the description for the 262. It would have been nice if the model number was in the description. Thank goodness for Amazon's return policy.

Magma Products Type 1 X-Low Output Valve Regulator
After chartering our boat, we found the original valve regulator missing. It's an essential part of the grill so we had to purchase another. Although still pricey, Amazon has the best price. The regulator has a tendency to leak a bit of propane if left hooked up to the small tanks so be sure to detach the tank when not in use and store it all in a well-ventilated space.

All this Magma stuff is overpriced. Worked as intended. Control knob isn't the easiest read, meaning it's hard to tell if you have it adjusted all the way open or are lowering the flame.

While I felt the first valve should never have failed due to such low usage, I finally broke down and bought the Type 1 X-low Output Valve replacement. The color was changed from the old one, and I wasn't sure about the numbers on it, but the old one cooked too hot anyway, so I opted for the "low" output one for a field test. Best $35 I have spent. After 4 years of staring at my grill hanging off my deck, I quickly changed the valve, added a 1# gas cylinder, and fired it up. What can I say about a perfect steak! Wish I had replaced this a long time ago!
