The "steam cleaning power" means that the brush squirts a weak stream of water onto your grill. If your grill is hot, it will steam. A squirt bottle is a better, cheaper solution here. The power brushes rotate slowly and bog down easily. This product isn't worth the cost of the 8(!) batteries it requires, let alone the purchase price. Save money and time by buying any manual brush instead.

My husband uses the grill cleaner and loves it. Of course, the steam is created when the water in the cleaner hits the hot grates.

good idea but doesn't work. It runs out of water fast !!!! used on a barnd new grill. Had to use a hand brush after cooking stake with no sauce.

I love to grill and my family loves my grilling so I do it often. I always clean the grill before and after to ensure food takes great. Saw this and thought it would be great to cut down on cleaning. But to my surprise the bristles are weak and the motor isn't strong. You put any good amount of pressure the motor slows down significantly and the bristles break off faster than the $2 grill scrubbers you can find anywhere.

The idea of the squirt nozzle is the only real benefit from this. I don't give 1 stars unless things are completely useless.
