For years, I was using bamboo skewers and soaking them in water before cooking. I had a few metal "coated" or "plated" skewers in the past, but they all started to chip at one point and I didnt think chipped metal was a good seasoning on meat, so I threw them out.

I decided to give these a shot. Nice, basic, cheap, dishwasher safe, and stainless steel. I use these weekly for the past year with no problems at all. Some of the more expensive skewers sold at bed bath and beyond, home depot, or lowes, are on the larger side and have larger handles so I couldnt close my grilltop when using them and would lose heat. These are perfect because you can put whatever you want on them and throw them on the grill and close the grill lid. I use my normal grill tongs to flip the kabob.

I will never use wood or bamboo skewers again.

Ok for the price, kind of short, the skewers are 10 in long including the ring. I Hope this help.

We use kabobs weekly in-season with our catering business. These are so much better than the wooden alternative! They are easy to turn and clean up well. Make sure to wear good gloves.

I like these because they fit in my Calphalon grill pan. I can make kabobs on the stovetop. They are easy to use and clean up in the dishwasher.

I have used these three or four times since I got them. They are still in original condition with no damage.

The only problem is that they are so much slicker than the wood ones so when you pick them up to flip, the meat and veggies likes to rotate on the skewer. Not bad though and a great price.
