Nice idea and they work as advertised as far as the food staying secure. However, the handles are not fire resistant. The first one we used came off the grill warped and partially melted from the heat. It was a hot but not flaming fire.

Just used the skewers for the first time. Two of the handles on the skewers melted when we grilled some seafood. I would not purchase these if you are considering them!!

love these! work great wish they were a little longer but they do hold alot and the slide off feature is wonderful
