I have this set of tongs and it does the job. I personally like the pull tab at the back to lock and unlock it. You can unlock it with one hand so it is perfect for what I grill.

My husband wanted another pair of tongs to B-B-Q and had difficulty finding as he has a pair from a few years back that he liked. So as usual, I looked and found these on Amazon. His last tongs had the silicone on the outside for gripping, but did not go down the length of the tong as on these. My husband's statement is that these are very comfortable in his hand and recommends them highly. Very good quality metal, nicely made, and should last for many barbecues in the future.
