Review of Guaranteed Fit Parts 3 Pack of Replacement Cast Iron Burners

I just tried to replace my worn-out burners with these. They seem nice, and are heavy cast iron and fit into my Coleman Series 5100 grill, but are missing a metal mesh tube or collar the fits over the end that goes into the knob. I'm guessing this is an essential part. I would use the old ones from my old burners, but they are too small to fit over the ends.

Update 7/25/2013: We decided the metal collars were used to prevent debris from entering burner and the new burner opening did not require them. We installed them and they are working perfectly.
