I needed to replace my natural gas grill this summer. I purchased the SToK Quattro Grill in May 2013 on the promise that the natural gas conversion kit would be available by the end of May. My brother purchased a Quattro at the same time, but he uses propane. We assembled his together the next day, and he was up and running. I ordered the conversion kit on May 21. I left my Quattro in the box, thinking that it was silly to assemble the thing and then take it apart to do the natural gas conversion. I finally received the conversion kit on August 23, towards the end of the grilling season in Anchorage. My brother and I assembled it a couple of days later.
The conversion kit installs flawlessly, and I am really glad I waited to assemble the SToK Quattro until after I had the kit. While you can do the conversion after using the Quattro on propane, the disassembly of a used BBQ to install the kit would be a grubby chore. I recommend having the conversion kit on hand before assembling the BBQ.
Once I got it up and running, the SToK Quattro is now my favorite BBQ. The SToK heats up quickly with natural gas, and the heat is relatively even. The hose is plenty long for moving the BBQ from its storage position to its cooking position. I really like that all four wheels are on casters allowing easy movement. The controls are good and the electronic lighting works very well.
For folks who have natural gas stubbed out to their decks, I highly recommend both the SToK Quattro and the natural gas conversion kit.
