These are 17 1/2 inches long and do not replace the Brinkmann part number they claim to. They will not fit many of the model numbers shown in the description. Would have been a decent, cheap replacement for the OEM heat plates even though they are made of lighter gauge metal.

As long as you do your research and know ahead of time that this product is designed for your particular grill, there shouldn't be any problems with the fit and installation. In my case, it was as easy as removing the old, worn out heat plates and simply setting the new ones in. They look great now and they are doing their job in the grill. Very easy and cheaper than buying a whole new grill.

I should have returned them, but didn't have time, They were too big (long) for my grill, by at least 1 1/2". I had a pair of tin snips and was able to cut them to fit. But doing so chipped some of the ceramic coating. I'm guessing they won't last the year now. Disappointing.
