I cannot begin to tell you how much I like this rib rack. I purchased it to barbecue spareribs on my Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5 inch cooker. The rack fits in there perfectly. I have used other racks and what I really like about this one is:

The spacing between each slot is perfect for ribs. I have used racks with smaller spacing and it can be a challenge to get the ribs in and out of them. If you are rotating and basting your ribs this becomes a hassle. The ribs slide in and out of this one incredibly easily while being very stable when they are in it.

Easy to clean up compared to other rib racks. The design is minimalist. Other ones have more intricate wire designs that don't add to function but make it harder to clean.

Feels solidly constructed. Nice weight.

I like that I can invert it and it can hold a roast. This feature could come in very handy some day and is a nice extra touch.

Lays well across a bbq grate. Nice and stable. Lays flat.

This is the best rib rack I have come across and I have used many.

Purchased this rack to use on my 18.5" Weber Smokey Mountain charcoal smoker. My wife and I tend to eat baby back ribs fairly often, and anyone who owns the 18.5" WSM knows that a few racks of ribs can be a very tight fit on this smoker. So I decided to try a rib rack to help free up some space and allow for more racks to be smoked at once.

The rack is of significantly higher quality than a previous Brinkmann brand rack that I had tried and discarded; like other reviewers have mentioned, the metal is thick and feels to be of higher quality than one would expect in a product of this price. Additionally, this rack is larger than most; end to end it is around 17" long and just perfectly fits on the top grate of my WSM. Each "slot" in the rib rack is almost 3" wide, which allows for plenty of space for smoke and heat to penetrate all sides of the ribs. This was a huge relief to see, as most other racks end up forcing you to cram the ribs together and the end result are ribs with slightly uneven smoke penetration, not to mention ribs that are very hard to baste or sauce while cooking.

Aside from being used for just ribs, the rack can be turned upside down and is a great size/shape to hold a fairly large roast as well, on either a smoker or a grill. The one thing that I would caution, is that if you prefer to use baby back ribs, the rack is very tall, making shorter baby back ribs feel like they are lacking support when laid across the rack. This hasn't presented much of an issue for me when cooking them, and the taller rack is nice to have for cooking much larger spareribs or St. Louis style ribs as well.

The metal has some sort of nonstick style coating, and the directions recommended that you clean it only with a sponge, not any kind of wire brush or other stiff cleaning product. I've found that the rack cleans up fairly easily; a quick 5 minute soak and some soap and water applied via a standard kitchen sponge, the rack looks good as new and is ready to be used again.

Overall, I highly recommend this product.

I purchased this product and the first one arrived damaged. One of the bars damaged in transit. I thought that this was an anomaly, so I returned the broken one and exchanged it for a new one. After using the rack once and attempting to wash it, another bar broke. This is an extremely poor product and I would not recommend it at all.
