our Cuisinart grill needed a new grate. When my original order first arrived the corner of the grate was broken. I obtained a return shipping label rather quickly and UPS came to my home to pick up the return. When my 2nd order arrived it was in excellent shape. Thank You Amazon!

We bought this in Oct of 2012. In Feb 2013 while doing a routing cleaning, I dropped from waist level onto my backyard grass lawn. When the grate hit the grass it cracked in half! I was quite shocked to see this needless to say. Of course I know cast iron isn't as tough as stainless steel, but come on... it should easily survive a 3 foot fall onto soft grass... A champagne flute would survive that fall if it had landed on grass squarely on its side like this piece did.

Reading the other reviewers comment that they had one delivered broken right out of the box further strengthens my belief that this is made with very inferior quality. I'm shocked to see a "major brand" like Cuisinart putting out this type of product. On the positive side, the grill that this unit goes to works very well and we greatly enjoy it. I will try to locate an alternate grill to put down on this unit so I can enjoy my grill for years to come...

Okay, so I didn't even order this product, but I received it by mistake instead of the CGG-200 Flame Tamer replacement. But, since it arrived broken, I figured I'd right a review anyway. This grate replacement arrived in a box just big enough to hold the grate with no padding at all and even though it is made of cast iron, the grate was broken on arrival (BOA).
