Reviews of CharcoalStore Bourbon Barrel Smoking Wood Chips (Large) 2 pounds
Made some homemade bacon the other day and wanted a rich, robust smoke (stronger than applewood, but still fairly sweet) and had just gotten these chips so thought "eh, why not?". Wow, was it ever fantastic! A delicious combination of nice smoky flavor but without the icky nasty creosote taste of cherry (blecch!). These chips enhanced but never overpowered the natural flavors; so delicious. I can't wait to try these on some ribs or tri-tip... will definitely be ordering these again to have on hand for just about anything. :D
