For me, tables are necessary when your are grilling. These tables are solid and easy to clean. I like them but,

the reason I gave them a three star rating is, if you happen accidentally, to bump them on the upswing of your arm,

you can displace them. I don't have a problem with this but it would be a good idea to be able to lock them in place.

I'm glad I purchased them.

work well, they haven't gotten hot when used though the instructions caution about that. Easy to set in place and remove.

This set of side tables are a perfect addition to the Cuisinart CCG-100 portable charcoal grill. They are not plastic and fit easily into the grill.
