Just bought bunch of these as gifts for the football obsessed guys in my life (Bowl Season is huge around here) and everyone loved them! The packaging could have better pictures but the item itsels is pretty nice.

Most of the guys didn't have anything underneath their grill (it was pretty gross what was underneath the few I saw) so this seemed like something useful also. Size was a question but so far has fit all of the grills we put it under.

There was also some concern that the mat couldn't really be cleaned off easily, but we rinsed it off and no problem.

Price was the best I found for ones with schools on them.

this mat looks perfect under our grill. We have the gator front door mat and this right by it and it makes a great look outside.

Best Deals for Backyard Basics Florida Grill Mat

Perhaps I expect too much of an outdoor grill mat. My expectations at the price purchased was a thick and sturdy mat with a quality logo. I got a flimsy carpet that was suited for indoor use and not normal wear and tear of the outdoors. The logo is printed on a about 12 inch plasticy material that just looks cheap. I will use this mat as long as it lasts but I feel its days are numbered and I have only had it about 6 months.

I used my gas grille a couple of times. While waiting for my shrimp to cook the other day, I noticed smoke coming out of the mat in the middle -and noticed that there was a hole there. It should not only be grease proof but fireproof as well which it obviously is not. I would rather my deck have a grease stain than a burn hole. Also, it wasn't obvious when ordering that different teams were available and I got the Gators. I would have preferred it to be plain but that could have been my mistake. I would certainly not order this item again since it is obviously not fireproof.
