Great product! Just as advertised. Once I removed the wax the seasoning was a breeze. The stand was easy to assemble and the burner worked perfect.
The only downside was the lid was dented when it arrived. I made a phone call to King Kooker and they had a new one in the mail same day. Excellent service and the new lid arrived fine.
I would buy another one

I would definitely recommend this pot for frying, I cooked 23 fish in no time, it was a big hit with my fish frying buddies. Easy to assemble the burner, I used a digital thermometer also purchase from Amazon which made temperature corrections easy. TWO THUMBS UP FROM ME !!Best Deals for King Kooker 1720 17-1/2-Inch Outdoor Cooker with 5 Gallon Cast Iron
Purchased the item for a upcoming tailgating event. Upon opening the box I identified that the lid was heavily damaged. I contacted King Kooker who took issue with the fact I couldnt find a serial number on the unit or the box, nonetheless, two weeks later I recieved a new lid after calling them 3 times. In the meantime, I decided to season the cast iron pot. There was an inch deep coating of paraffin inside the bottom which required two or more hours to carve off. When the lid arrived I decided to assemble the base of the unit, and you guessed it... more problems. The necessary nuts and bolts were excluded and the burner assembly shipped in the box was for another cooker. This product is cheaply made and is a nightmare to deal with, do yourself a favor and steer clear of it.3 weeks after my purchase I packed the item up and returned it to Amazon. I purchased a much better quality unit from a vendor in St. Amant, Louisiana..

The pot and stand are packaged well and arrived in excellent condition. This is a good sized pot for jambalaya, big enough to make it correctly, not too big for a family of 15. If you have a smaller family, prepare to freeze or give away lots of the good stuff. The stand is adequate, just oddly constructed. It's a bit tricky to get the pot to sit level on the stand, but can be done. The hooks are appropriately sized, necessary, and a great addition, as when full and hot, there is no other way to move the pot. Get a friend to help.
