These magnets greatly exceeded my expectations. For the price, I was expecting a much lower quality product, but I was wrong. The magnets are larger than I expected and much more stronger than I expected. For their intended use on a grill, they will easily support the basic grilling tools. I used one for my grill and placed the other on our front door to hang a fall flower basket/arrangement that had already fallen twice with different hooks. I don't know the exact weight of the arrangement, but I estimate it's around 10 pounds. Needless to say, it was still hanging this morning. I will update in the future if it falls.

After a major kitchen remodel, we DIYers were stumped by the common issue of where to hang the towels. Damp linen should not be in a cabinet or near wood, and draping it over appliance handles just means you have to move it to use the appliance. Ordinary magnet hooks on the fridge are not strong enough to hold towels without some movement, which scratches the fridge. Love the idea, hate the application. The magnets on these buttons are not strong enough to hold oversized (length) bbq tools, which is typical for bbq tools. However, it does function due to a rubber/silicon backing that is glued to the magnet that adds significant traction, keeping the button in place.The problem is when you use your grill it gets hot. The heat causes the glue to liquify/melt, separating the rubber backing from the magnet. The result: A snail trail of glue on your grill (I still haven't been able to remove), tools on the ground and weak magnets that could barely hold a rubber spatula.
You would think that a product made for a grill by a grill company would be heat resistant. go figure
