We live on the water in Maryland and cook LOTS of crabs. We had our last crab pot for 5 years.
In one use this pot is already pitted all along the bottom. If you use vinegar at all you will destroy this pot.
The section around where the propane comes out for the fire is already rusted.
I would do more research before purchasing this again.
Good luck!

I purchased the King Kooker to brew a 5 gal batch of all grain beer using the BIAB method. The strainer holds the grain bag and grain. The strainer also keeps the grain bag off the bottom on the 50qt pot. When mashing is complete you just raise the strainer out of the wart using the handle. The burner heated 7 gal of water quickly and there was plenty of room for the grain. It was great taking the brew day out doors!
This is a perfect way to brew in a bag.

Bought this for my Husband to keep him from steaming crabs in the house. He crabs often and it just makes the house hot and stinky when he steams on the stove! I couldn't be happier with this purchase. It was easy to put together, very sturdy, lights easily and the pot holds about 3/4 a bushel of crabs. Small and easy to store when not in use. LOVE this product!!! Also, I see that there is some concern with the pot pitting because of the use of vinegar...it's an aluminum pot, if you don't clean it properly after using it to steam using vinegar...it's going to pit. Clean it with warm soapy water, rinse it with clean water and you are good to go.Honest reviews on King Kooker 5012 Portable Propane Outdoor Boiling and Steaming
This has some power behind it. With the pot 3/4 of the way full of water, it came to a boil in about 22 minutes on high. Even heat, not sure how much propane it sucked, but i'm happy with how this performed. The heating element is completely charred though, the coating burned off almost immediately, but that's my only complaint!
