I have used these before and when I went to the hardware store here in CA to get more they were out. It seems that they only carry them in the Winter time. So I got frantic because these things work great. I found them on Amazon and ordered 3 boxes! One square lights a fire almost everytime in my Lopi wood stove. I have used them to light fires in my fireplace too. They light very quickly and burn long enough to get dry wood blazing. I highly recommend these to anyone who has a wood stove or fireplace and hates getting a stubborn fire started. This product is guaranteed to give you a 99% shot as success in starting your fire the first time everytime.

I have actually tried every fire starter product on the market. This one is the one to use. They light easily everytime. Unlike some of the others, they are small enough to wedge between logs without falling off the fire stack before they are consumed. I build my fire using two of the squares approximately 4 inches from each end of my fire stack. Stack the secondary logs on top of the primary logs, light the starters and walk away. If you are looking for a clean effort free way to start a fire, you can't go wrong with these.

I got these to start the fire under my charcoal chimney for the barbeque so I didn't have to try and stuff paper under it. The first time I tried it I used 4 and that was way too much. I think just 1 or 2 is plenty to get it started, so with 144 I will be able to start a lot of barbeques!
