It is not to be confused with a bbq brush or one for scouring steel.
The bristles are stiff enough to take off the paint without scoring the wood and makes the task of refinished period details much easier.

This wire brush is small but great for those small jobs that dont need too much work. It comes in very handy and nice to have in your tool arsenal. This is only a light duty brush.Best Deals for Goldblatt G05829 Pro-Grip Stripping Brush, Stainless Steel
Let me start by saying, calling this a 'stripping brush' is a bit of a stretch. Maybe it could strip a bit of water damaged paint from behind a sink. But don't think you'll be stripping cracked oil-based paint on old siding. You'd need a hundred of them. It's too small and the bristles aren't stiff enough for a job like that.On the other hand, it did a wonderful job cleaning off caked-on dust from fan grilles and a shower exhaust vent. It is perfect for dry scouring jobs too tough for a nylon scrub brush (or a vacuum cleaner brush), but where a huge welding brush is overkill.
Pros: Light, sturdy, ergonomic, and maneuverable.
Good for:
-Very light stripping & rust removal
-Dust removal from fans, vents, air conditioners, etc.
-Small spaces
Not good for:
-Extensive stripping or rust removal
-Bar-B-Que grills
-Large areas
Other thoughts:
It is stainless, but I couldn't find any reason to try it for wet cleaning. And again, don't try to use this like a steel welding brush. It won't last. For removing dust though, I expect it will hold up very well.
