These grids replaced the set of stainless grids that originally came with my gas grill. These are cast iron coated with ceramic, I believe, and I like them better than the OEM set. They do an excellent job of searing meat and are now about 4 months old and holding up well to almost daily use. Prior to ordering these, I called the service number from the owner's manual to get a quote on how much replacement grids would cost and their number was at least $60 higher than what I paid for this set. Very happy with this purchase.

Bought this product and 3 months later porcelain is chipping off and ending up in our food. I crunched down on a piece yesterday while eating a steak and was pissed when I figured out what it was after paying $84 for these. Am trying to return for partial refund but will have to also pay shipping. At least when I buy from Lowes I have 90 days to return.

I bought a used Kenmore Elite Model 258654A a few years ago. It is a beautiful large grill that was in great shape. Over time however, the grids began to rust and the porcelain began to flake off. I needed to either replace the grids or throw away the grill. I looked far & wide and found this grid set. They are the perfect depth, but about 1 inch too short in the width. That is alight though, since I just slid the cast iron searing grid on the right over 1 inch to the left, no big deal. This is a bargain because, as most know, Sears charges up the wazoo for replacement parts. The parts I replaced were 2 large cooking grids (Sears Part P016040135, $121) and 1 small cooking grid (Sears Part P016040105, $70). These are the three primary cooking grids for the Kenmore Elite Model 258654A. Sears has to be crazy thinking someone is going to pay over $300 to replace the grids. That makes this "Music City Metals" replacement grid set an amazing deal. And I might add the quality looks to be extremely high these are porcelain coated cast iron compared to the original porcelain coated steel-rod (rounded-type) grids from Sears. I don't care, as long as it grills nicely. When I fire up the grill it gets WAY hotter than before that's either because of the cast iron or because I gave the grill a proper cleaning when I replaced the grids. The grids were received in a reasonable time in good condition with adequate packing material. Heavy duty with porcelin finish. They fit perfectly on my Charmglow grill. Best to spray on some grill cooking oil before use to prevent sticking untill it's aged a bit. Definitely better then buying a new grill!
